I post stories in my journal that don't get added to batfic quite often. I would also like to be added.

P.S. Does monitor_duty also watch for meta? I have some people on my f-list that meta about comics quite frequently and can watch them for y'all if you do.

Does [info]brexfic count? It's Bruce Wayne/Smallville's Lex Luthor. There is much happening there right now, but there are DC-related fics that don't really fit anywhere else there.

[info]monitor_duty is sticking only to fic/art/etc. set in the comics universe. We love Smallville but there are already newsletters promoting that area of the fandom. Thank you anyway!

Hi,

I'd like to recommend [info]the_worlds_end, which is a community for Sandman-related meta, fic and art. [info]gaimanfanfic is dedicated to any fic based upon Neil Gaiman's work, not just the comics, but I'd say the Sandman and its spin-offs make up a great deal of entries.

There are lots of other Vertigo- or "Indie"-related comms I could add, but many of them aren't very active. Does a comm have to update often to deserve being listed? (And, in a similar vein, what about pointing out older entries? Would that be allowed?)

Thank you for your recommendations but [info]monitor_duty is focusing on Marvel and DC comics related fandom only. We love Vertigo and I read a ton of Indie comics myself but if we expand too far the newsletter will become unmanageable. So we decided to stick to a narrower focus for the time being.
I recommend [info]comicstore_news for these links (and I am sure they would be glad to have them) as they update daily with news and links for comics fandom as a whole.

In answer to your other question about older entries, yes, we would love to have them pointed out. We are working on a "You Might Have Missed This" section and would be happy for older fic/meta/art recommendations.

Would it be easier if, when I write a fic, I leave a note here? In the last few weeks, monitor_duty has been very good at keeping up with me, but if it saves time and trouble...

It is easier for us to browse through our watcher list than for you to leave a comment. If we do ever happen to miss one of you fics, just leave us a comment in a monitor_duty post and we will add it asap.

Hello, [info]monitor_duty Editors!

We hopefully have an addition to a future issue of your newsletter. [info]yuletart is a LiveJournal-based community created to host a holiday multi-fandom fanart exchange. Basically, it's a fanart version of [info]astolat's [info]yuletide fic exchange. But instead of only rare fandoms, [info]yuletart is open to art from all fandoms - except for Harry Potter fanart (because it's already so well-represented!).

If you feel your comicbook fandom watchers would be interested in participating, we would greatly appreciate it if you could mention our community and the news that sign-ups are now open.
